Surat is known for its delicacies, especially the egg dishes. Over 200+ recipes are being prepared from egg here. One of these is 'Anda Ghotala', a simple yet tasty dish.
Anda Ghotala is a dish which can be enjoyed at any time. It is a quick and easy recipe, require less than 25 min to prepare.
Basically, Ghotala is a mixture of kheema and fry. When you mix both the dish, you get Ghotala (that’s why it’s called GHOTALA)
Let’s start with the ingredients:
* 4 eggs
* Edible oil
* 2 onions , 1 tomato (paste) , ginger garlic paste (2 teaspoon)
* Fresh coriander & Green chilli
* Dry Masala: Turmeric powder, Cumin powder, Red chilli powder, coriander powder, Garam masala powder
Procedure:
1} At first we go for the kheema.
> Boil two eggs & grate them.( keep it aside)
> Take a pan and heat 2 teaspoon oil
> After pan gets heated, add 2 finely chopped onions
> Fry the onions until get softer
> Add 2 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste
> Sauté on medium flame
> Finely Cut 1 green chilli & add it in the pan
> Fry the mixture for 30 seconds on medium flame
> Add tomato paste & mix well for 30 seconds.
> Add all dry masala powder (half a teaspoon) & salt
> Fry masala on low flame for 30 seconds
> Add 1 teaspoon of oil & mix well
> Add 30 ml of water & add 2 grated eggs.
> Keep mixing until it gets consistency of a paav bhaji like texture.
2} Preparation of egg fry
- Take a pan and heat up 2 teaspoon of oil
- Add 2 raw eggs in the pan
- Sprinkle salt & black pepper powder
Take kheema & fry in a bowl. Mix until the fried eggs gets disappeared in the mixture. The Ghotala is ready to serve. Enjoy with bread or paav.
